It's New York Fashion Week time!

Hey there, fashion fam!

Guess what time it is? That's right – it's New York Fashion Week time! As the city buzzes with excitement and anticipation, I'm diving headfirst into the whirlwind of creativity, style, and downright fabulousness that is NYFW.

I had the privilege of covering the Ulla Johnson Fashion Week Runway Show at Powerhouse Arts in Brooklyn. After checking in about an hour before the show, as a for Shutterstock, I found my way to the space and positioned myself in the riser, capturing every mesmerizing moment as the models graced the runway with their presence. While my colleagues photographers focus on backstage chaos and front-row glamour, I'm right in the midst of the action, lens poised and ready to snap the perfect shot.

At the riser, we photographers had some fun interactions as we tried to work out our spots and positions for the show. One fun moment occurred when one photographer left the risers briefly and returned, discussing his spot. He asked me if I could move so he could be more centered, and I agreed, but mentioned I couldn't move too much due to another photographer being in front of me. He started speaking in Italian, not realizing I understood, but when I told him I speak Italian, we both shared a laugh and continued enjoying the show together. It was a reminder that kindness and communication can always make room for everyone in the industry.

Featuring Ulla Johnson's signature bohemian-chic aesthetic, the runway was a feast for the eyes, with flowing silhouettes, intricate embroidery, and vibrant pops of color. Each look exuded effortless elegance and understated luxury, leaving the audience spellbound from start to finish.

As the models glided down the runway, I snapped away, capturing every captivating moment with precision and passion. From the front row to backstage, I was immersed in the energy and excitement of the event.
